Maeve Murphy is an award-winning screenwriter and film director. She has made 3 features, Silent Grace, Beyond The Fire and Taking Stock. Silent Grace was set in Armagh women's prison at the time of the Dirty Protest and First Hunger Strike. In 2020 the Irish Times listed Silent Grace as no 38 "Best Irish Films Ever Made."

FREE Masterclass with Aisling Walsh: STORIES FROM THE FRONT LINE

Directing Masterclass with critically acclaimed screenwriter and director Aisling Walsh, whose second feature, Song for a Raggy Boy (2003) became a seminal piece of work in Irish cinema. Walsh's fourth feature, Maudie (2016), an intimate, gorgeously crafted example of film as portraiture, earned her accolades such as IFTA's Best Director in 2018, as well as numerous awards.
